About WorkOnward Foundation

We believe that access to decent work should not be a privilege, but a right. Our mission is to break down digital barriers and create pathways to employment for America's most underserved communities.

Our Story

WorkOnward Foundation was born from a simple observation: millions of hardworking Americans are trapped in cycles of poverty not because they lack skills or determination, but because they lack access to the digital tools and platforms that connect people to opportunities.

In an increasingly digital world, traditional job search methods have moved online, leaving behind those without reliable internet, smartphones, or digital literacy. Meanwhile, small businesses—the backbone of American employment—struggle with expensive, complex hiring systems that don't fit their needs or budgets.

We saw an opportunity to bridge this gap using artificial intelligence and simple, accessible technology. By meeting people where they are—through basic text messaging and phone calls—we can connect job seekers with opportunities and help small businesses find the workers they need.

Our Values

Inclusion

We design for the most excluded, ensuring our tools work for everyone regardless of digital literacy, language, or economic status.

Simplicity

Complex problems require simple solutions. We strip away barriers and make employment access as easy as sending a text or making a call.

Dignity

Every person deserves to showcase their skills and find meaningful work. We treat every interaction with respect and humanity.

Impact

We measure success not in technology deployed, but in lives changed and families lifted out of poverty through decent work.
